 Hello Guys!

So a New Year is here again!

For some, it’s a time for new resolutions, new plans and new strategies, for some, they could only care less!  For some, reflections of the past year are made- what went well and what didn’t, what could have been and what could have been done better. For some it makes no real difference, New Year or not, everything still and would still remain pretty much the same! Or perhaps you are grieving, maybe because of something that transpired last year. Well, whatever the case may be, a New Year usually offers an opportunity for a fresh start and that is the beauty in the New Year celebrations.
Guys n’ gals’, the fact is, it’s a New Year and the choice lies with you to make this year worthwhile or not. So for starters I just want to say to you all, “….welcome to 2019!!!!!!!! And happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

I’m usually excited this time of the year, although I’m pretty sure some of you would not feel all that much excitement, especially with bills stacked around you. Well, it is what it is, so don’t get too overwhelmed by the pressures of life as they must surely pass.
Speaking of pressures, if you could take a minute or two and think about some of the challenges you faced last year, you’d discover that they weren’t really so bad, at least you’d see that you were after all, capable of dealing with some, if not most of them. And that gives us an assurance that no matter what we face in life we have what it takes to deal with it, we only need to have something I call, ‘willpower’. So, if you are willing to try, with determination you will eventually overcome the obstacles that arise every now and then.
Dear readers, 2018 is gone and a New Year is here, so we must get ready because more challenges will come, that’s right! I’m not gonna tell you that it’ll be smooth and rosy through and through, definitely not! Challenging times will come and when they do we should embrace those challenges with courage like a soldier fully girded in his battlefield, for if we do not, we will be torn apart and left to lie defeated on the field.

Someone once said, “…how you exit one door determines to a large extent how you enter the next…..” again, some will say, “…how you begin a race will determine to a large extent how you finish that race…”  So my question to you reading this is how did you leave the 2018 door? Did you shut the doors behind you, with eagerness to enter the next door? Or are you perhaps, one of those indecisive humans still contemplating whether or not to remain in the past year’s glories and/or agonies? Your indecisiveness has led you to leave the 2018 door wide open so that you could very easily fall back in should you not like what the next door has to offer you! That, my friend, is not the best start! If you want the rest of this New Year to be pleasant then of course, you must determine to start it pleasantly. Instead of gloominess, put on a cheerful spirit, be grateful you made it! And then think about all the possibilities this New Year has in store for you. Forge ahead! As Denzel Washington would say, “Fall forward!” not backwards but forwards, always forging ahead. That is the best way to start, I mean, how many racers would be caught looking backwards when a race is about to begin? None!

So, as you kick start this New Year, forge ahead! Let go of any past event that will derail you in the course of your mission. And more importantly, PLAN, yes, this will go a long way in setting you right on track. There is an old saying, “….he who fails to plan has planned to fail….” So, if you do not wish to utterly fail this year then start now to map out your strategies, in other words, your blueprints as well as plans for the year should be drafted NOW. Some of you good souls already did so last year in preparation for this year and I must applaud you for that timeliness! But like they say, it’s better late than never! So give no excuses and plan now, you’d feel more in control of your life when you do this and see to it that each plan is executed.
My prayer for you is that this year will be far more greater than last  year! So, welcome to 2019 guys! Cheers!
